Cingeneyiz.org is sharing the news about different Gypsy communities from different places with its audience. The Gypsies who are living in India and Nepal have a special place by these. Because so many people do not have any idea about the Gypsy communities living in India and Southeastern Asia, although these people believe that Romani Gypsies' ancestors are from India.

Indian Gypsies are not accepted as a part of caste system. They do not belong to any pleasant caste and try to survive in difficult conditions. We have shared news about Indian Gypsies' troubles which show these conditions evidently. For example, in most of the schools of India, our brothers and sisters are forced to clean the toilets. Presumably, this is the cost of education! How a case in this century! At that rate, our sisters and brothers protested this. We hope that their voices are heard by others. We share the pains of these Indian Gypsies, Dalits.

Another example is experienced in Turkish Republic of North Cyprus. While declaring the new policy of TRNC, the Minister of Finance said that they are not a "Gypsy tribe", but a state. How a pointless and accurate declaration. Does he know that so many Gurbet Gypsies are living in his country? Doesn't he think that he may break the hearts of the Gypsies. Obviously, he doesn't intend to humiliate the Gypsies. He just used a based proverb. Some proverbs are common like "Gypsy fardel" and "turning to Gypsy tent". And every time these words are used, the prejudices get streghtened and our people are hurted.

We believe that the Finance Minister of TRNC used these words without a intention for humiliating. Unfortunately, so many people's intention is this. In the middle of Europe, racist skinheads intend to harm our life, property and honesty. Recently, skinheads who attacked to Gypises got caught by security staff in an entertainment center in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. How could a person have a fun by harming the innocent people's lives? We hope that other guilties are stood trial in the shortest time.

On the other hand, we got good news from different parts of our country. The Romani organizations of Izmir came together with other institutions and organized a circumcision festival. The heads of the organizations say that they wanted to contribute to families' expenses. Maybe this is a small expense for most of the people. But there are so many families who cannot find even bread. In these difficult times, it is so important that some people attempt to contribute to the expenses of the Gypsy families. Of course, these attempts cannot solve all the problems. But it is favourable to do little things instead of doing nothing. Isn't it?
